Midnight Sun has had an illustrious
career on the race courses of the world. She has raced competitively all
her life and has won prestigious awards in Europe and the East Coast of
the United States.
Previously named Ichiban and owned by Jim Allsop
of North Sails, she was the Chesapeake IMS champion in 1991. Under current
ownership, and returned to her original name, Midnight Sun has been
campaigned competitively to great success out of Stamford, CT. With the
mast and boom modifications and new sails she is competitive in both light
air buoy races as well as open water distance races.
She is fully Category I equipped for offshore racing or
extended cruising:
